Below you will find work for Year 10 and 11 to be completed Tuesday 8th of May while the school is closed due to a burst water pipe. Every effort is being made to ensure the information below is accurate and up to date. Please be aware that this page will be updated throughout the morning and afternoon. Your patience would be appreciated and you are advised to check back if any work is not currently online.
Mr Allsop: Please check MyMaths website for Year 10 and 11 work. Mrs Hodson: Work for Year 10x3 has been set on "my maths". They need to work through the lessons and complete the online worksheets. Percentages of amounts, Percentage Change, Change as a Percentage, Frac Dec Perc. Mr Hughes: 10x1a. Please complete the work set on MyMaths (A/A* Number revision (don't use a calculator)) Please also print off and do / write down your solutions to the exam paper (below) this MUST be completed for THURSDAY - no exceptions. Instructions are to print out or work on word and to either email me with completed paper or bring into school tomorrow. Mrs Glayzer: Year 11 are to ensure they complete week 1 revision schedule from their Maths Watch CD. Any problems please email Mrs Glayzer. Mrs Martin: Year 11 Graphics learners should visit Mrs Martins Graphics blog where they can download a past paper and practice section B. Then revise areas they were weak in using their Lonsdale books. Mrs Martin: Year 10 ICT need to complete their educational powerpoint quiz, plus the planning of the pathways, (Mrs Martin is aware that this may be difficult due to lack of equipment - if so more time should be spent on powerpoint) Mr Seddon: Year 9 and 11. Study 2010 and 2011 product design exam and marking scheme (attached below). Attempt Preliminary Material by researching packaging for fragrance products.
Mr Moore: Please find attached some revision material for year 10 GCSE learners. Year 10 should work through the PowerPoint and complete all activities. Mr Moore: Year 11 Learners should do the following: Work through the Globalisation chapter from their revision guides and answer all exam style questions. Come prepared for Thursday's lesson with any questions that you were not able to complete. Also bring revision guides on Thursday so that your exam style questions can be marked and any corrections needed can be made. Mr Gillies: 1. Year 9, 10 and 11's GCSE Textiles complete your design ideas for section A of exam, fully annotated including modern materials, sustainability, properties of fabrics, etc (use the handout sheet i gave you last lesson and is attached here) 2. When complete you must ALL then complete the practice exam attached and bring the answers to wednesday's lesson either typed or handwritten. Year 9 & 10s bring to your next lesson. 3.Year 10s when you have completed all the above, finish page 5 of CA by next lesson. 4.All the resources to help you are under revision on the toolbar. You should also be using your lonsdale book to help. Mr Gillies: Year 11 food group will need to access the same work as Mrs Woodhead's group Mrs Woodhead: Attached exam paper for Year 11 and 9 to complete. Please email to Mrs Woodhead for marking. There is also loads of revision materials on the food blog under exam revision. Any Year 9 doing the exam on the 16th of May must complete this work. Learners must complete the exam and email it back to Mrs Woodhead by 12pm. If they need help with any of the questions they can email her before this time. Mrs Critchley: Year 9 and 11 Read the examiner's report and Grade A sample essays. Work your way through the GCSE Bitesize Drama website. Complete any outstanding technical portfolio work(Costume, make-up, props,sound, lighting,stage management). Re-draft essays - anyone who has already had 1:1 sessions with Mrs Critchley and have already re-drafted essays you can e-mail them to her on vcritchley@olqp.lancs.sch.uk and they will be checked and returned them to you. Mr Downes: Necessary files and detailed instructions on what to do in a post on our RE blog homepage: www.olqpre.wordpess.com For all RE learners - continue to revise, look on the moodle as well as revision material given to you. Learn your key words too. Mrs Kingston: All Year 9, 10 and 11 GCSE History candidates have revision packs. They should use these to revise key topics. At the back of these packs there are examples of exam questions that they can attempt. Mrs Taylor: Attached work for Year 11 class. Mr Ashworth: Y11 CA Chemistry, there are activities assigned on Kerboodle, work through these along with your own revision. Y11 CA Additional Applied, use your revision guides to revise Forensic Science...p36-38 is all about collecting evidence, get experts in this! Good luck Mr Howarth: Year 11 learners MH science class.
